This is a medical malpractice birth injury case involving a now 22 month old child, the plaintiff, who sustained severe cerebral palsy and global developmental delays as a direct result of an untimely diagnosis of her mother’s, placental abruption resulting in a delayed C section on Jan. 24, 2018, at Defendant, Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA. The plaintiff’s preventable brain injury was caused by multiple deviations from the nursing standard of care by the Providence Labor and Delivery nursing staff. The nursing negligence was further compounded by negligent omissions and delays by Dr. Martin Cooper, the attending obstetrician, and Dr. Glenn Grossman, the laborist.
