This is a wrongful death case related to a previous client. Four days from her eleventh birthday the plaintiff was brought to a pediatric day care center called Together We Grow. She had been going to the center since 2020 a few times a month. The staff was well aware that the plaintiff was a choking risk and that she had a tendency to put items in her mouth (toys, towels, etc). During her overnight stay, the plaintiff choked on her own scrunchie and died.
