$8.25 million Delayed diagnosis and Treatment After Birth | San Bernardino County

This action for malpractice involves the plaintiff, a newborn, who was discharged without a septic work-up from Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital (LLUCH) despite clear evidence that he had run threshold (abnormal) temperatures (per LLUCH Protocol), and which required physician intervention (also per Protocol), but in which no physician intervention was ever forthcoming. Instead, the plaintiff was discharged home two days following his birth. As a result of a delay of diagnosis and treatment, he developed meningitis and seizures at home.
